When I was a child, I was privileged to spend a year living in Switzerland while my dad completed his studies. I was young, so my memories are quite hazy, but I do remember enjoying our regular drives through the Swiss countryside. I have recently been travelling for work to Zurich, and last year took a trip to Mount Titlis.
I don’t ski, so the fact that it was a swelteringly hot summer day made it ideal. There was still snow at the top, though it was not cold, and I took a tour through the glacier. Above, you can see the view from the summit, green with summer grass in the valley. The world sort of stretches out in all directions around you.
