Even on a clear day, the water in Cradle Valley is a rich brown because of the natural tannins.
On a recent trip to Tasmania, I spent a day hiking in Cradle Valley. While I didn’t make it all the way to Cradle Mountain, I did get to Marion’s Lookout. The weather was delightfully changeable. It alternated constantly between the beautiful clear skies you see here, and sudden snow. The views were spectacular, and well worth the effort. If you’re looking for a holiday beautiful, unspoilt nature, you can’t go past the Cradle Valley.
